Crystalized Honey FAQ's
1
Why Does Honey Crystalize?
Sometimes honey that is stored for a while or not stored at room temperature will crystalize or become hard and gritty. This is a natural occurrence and the honey is safe to eat. Crystallized honey retains all of its flavor and quality and you can eat it in a crystallized state or liquify it.
2
How to Liquify Honey Easily
-
If the honey is in a container larger than a jar or in a plastic container, scoop it with a spoon into a glass jar.
-
Fill a saucepan halfway with water.
-
Put the pan on the stove.
-
Place the jar of honey in the saucepan and gently warm the honey on low heat.
-
Using a spoon stir the honey gently and continuously, making sure not to splash water into your jar.
You will see the honey begin to become liquid again!

Is Crystalized Honey Good to Eat?
Crystallized honey is still honey! It’s perfectly safe to eat and doesn’t mean that your honey has gone bad. You can still eat and cook with crystallized honey exactly as you normally would. It will melt into your hot drinks and into your baked dishes, just like liquid honey. It's supper yummy on toast, as a marinade and simply by the spoon full!

"From the moment I first contacted Sharry at Clark's Honey, I knew I was going to have an amazing experience. I've had Clark's Honey in the past and it is the absolute best wildflower honey! Knowing this, I wanted to reach out to Clark's to see if they would be willing to treat my school staff to a little something unique and special. Sharry and Clark hopped right on board, being advocates for education, and pulled through so GENEROUSLY! Their honey is clean and robust. To top that off, their customer service is impeccable. I'm already spreading the word of Clark's, and I know you won't be disappointed."
