Bees at Work

Beekeeping, in the beginning, was a backyard hobby for Clark.  He learned about the health benefits provided by honey and began to recognize how vital bees are to the biodiversity of the ecosystem and human sustainability.  The hobby grew into a passion and in the early 1980’s he decided to devote his life to keeping bees and harvesting honey.  He became a full-time apiarist and founded his small businesses, Clark’s of Colorado and Clark’s Apiaries.  Committed to keeping it local, the Sloan Family proudly produces  honey from over 2,000 colonies of bees pollinating and collecting nectar from plants of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains!
